The new design offers an optimal area for working with the Italian hitch knot (HMS) and increases the strength in gate-open and minor axis positions. The I-Beam construction offers a fantastic strength-to-weight ratio while still maintaining a rope-friendly radius for easy handling. Finally, the keylock nose on the HMS Nitro Lock has also been shaped to fit snugly into the tension release point on the Piu 2 belay device, meaning the device activates a second after the rope is weighted.
