An upgrade on the hyperlight Crest shovel that features a shaft that extends to nearly two feet and an extra-strong ABS blade that does not bend under the pressure of clearing away avalanche debris. The aluminum alloy shaft is contoured for grip and rigidity, and a special spring glide system allows for particularly fast and easy extraction when you need to move quickly. Four slots on the blade also let you use the CT as a snow anchor or emergency stretcher when combined with skis.
